Father

Father

Father is a collaborative series of performances between Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Gabriel Christian and Nekia Wright.

This performances ask how can violence – in the form of death – be transmuted, transformed into something greater? Brown and black people worldwide share a common bond: the violence of white supremacy, which ultimately binds us together. Our oppressors may wear different masks and uniforms, but they continue to serve the same function: the propagation of fear. Our performance resists from South Asia and the Middle East to the East Coast and Southern states of the United States of America.
